Synopsis[]

After saving Aspen Frost in the Crystal Caverns, the yeti will teach the player how to fix the mine cart tracks. When the player rides their first fixed mine-cart track, they will be given two paths: one goes up on the player's screen, and one goes down. Players must go to the bottom one for the path; however, the path to Glacias is filled with many broken mine-cart tracks and there is no Crystal Monsters inhabit this path. This path is considered as the "safe route". The upper path leads to Winston Von Loot, which is inhabited by Crystal Monsters, but there are no broken tracks. This route is considered as a faster way to finish the Crystal Caverns. Moreover, after the player chose one of the mine cart paths, the player cannot go back.

Trivia[]

  • Unlike many of the other bosses located in Crystal Caverns, Glacias is not of the Shadow Shadow element, it is of the Ice Ice element.
  • Unlike the other bosses, a battle with Glacias can be avoided by walking past the area where it is.
  • Glacias is the name of the species, not the boss itself - similar to how the Ice Wyrm displays as Ice Wyrm, despite that being the name of the species.
  • Its variant, Shadow Glacias, formerly appeared in the Ice Tower, not Crystal Caverns.
